Apify is looking for a Senior Developer / Agentic Experience Engineer. As a member of the Creators group, you'll be building a world-class ecosystem for community developers and builders to turn their ideas into Actors on Apify. You will build tools and features that help them succeed in the ongoing AI revolution, utilize agentic coding and other agentic flows in their daily operations, and earn monthly payouts to support their living (collectively earning >$1.2M/month from usage of their Actors!).

WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON:

•Own features and projects end-to-end, from the discovery phase through to production, and see them have a real impact on creators.

•Make coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, and Cursot able to go from an empty folder to a running Actor using the Apify CLI, MCP server, and API.

•Work in a small, cross-functional team, shipping in two-week sprints and deploying multiple times per day.

•Use the Apify platform yourself every day (we build for builders by builders) and take pride in making it better.

•Contribute to open source; we publish everything we can on GitHub https://github.com/apify (PRs are welcome 😉).

BUILDERS TEAM

The Builders team owns everything a creator needs to take an Actor from a great idea to a product that runs, and keeps running, on the Apify platform. Every one of the thousands of Actors on Apify Store started its life here. They own the Apify CLI https://github.com/apify/apify-cli, the Actor templates https://github.com/apify/actor-templates, the Actor creation and development experience in Apify Console, the Actor development tools in the Apify MCP server https://github.com/apify/apify-mcp-server, and the integrations with third-party tools that help creators build and manage their Actors. All of it is used by developers and, increasingly, by their coding agents. One of the most exciting challenges you'll work on is turning coding agents into first-class Apify developers: Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor driving the whole loop from an empty folder to a running Actor with as little help from the creator as possible, using the very CLI, MCP server, API, and Console you'll be building.

📍 Location: onsite in Prague or Brno, or fully remote. Remote hires onboard in Prague for 1-2 weeks and visit the office at least once a month

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

•3+ years of industry experience building developer/agent experience oriented products and/or open source projects.

•Strong development and debugging skills in TypeScript/Node.js, or proficiency in another language and the drive to learn TypeScript quickly.

•Deep, hands-on experience with AI tools in your day-to-day work, and the drive to stay up to date with the latest trends.

•Backend: TypeScript/Node.js, Nest.js, Next.js, Docusaurus, Vitest

•Monitoring: Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Mezmo, Sentry, PagerDuty

•Tools: GitHub, Notion, Google Workspace, Slack

•OS, code editor, and AI assistant of your choice (Claude premium with unlimited tokens, GH Copilot, Cursor, Gemini, or JetBrains AI)

•Process: two-week sprints, code reviews, tests, automating whatever we can, and deploying multiple times per day.
