Job Description:
Shell Trading & Supply (T&S) is one of the world’s leading energy trading organizations, connecting buyers and sellers of energy products, environmental products and freight across global markets. T&S also manages the supply and distribution of these products to internal and external customers through an extensive network of pipelines, vessels, rail and road transport, storage and blending facilities.
Within T&S, Supply Chain and Contracting & Procurement (C&P) play a key role in enabling safe, competitive and innovative supply chains. The Distribution Operations business manages fuel storage through Shell-operated terminals and Outside Supply Points (OSPs), as well as the movement of products by road to our customers. Our ambition is to champion commerciality in everything we do, bringing external market insights to our business partners, co-creating competitive solutions and making it easy for the business to engage with Supply Chain and C&P.
The Senior Commercial Procurement Lead will contribute to this ambition by providing commercial and contracting & procurement leadership for the DACH Fuels Terminals portfolio, with a particular focus on our Terminal in Flörsheim and Southern Germany.
Purpose of the role
The purpose of the Senior Commercial Procurement Lead is to provide end-to-end commercial and contracting & procurement support for Shell-owned fuel terminals in DACH, covering indirect services across both OPEX (maintenance) and CAPEX (asset construction, upgrades and repairs).
This is an exciting front-line commercial role supporting the Terminal Transformation program and optimizing non-hydrocarbon third-party spend to deliver competitive commercial outcomes, manage risk and bring external market insights into business decisions.
The position is a senior individual contributor role with no direct people-management responsibility, acting as the key C&P commercial partner and primary C&P interface for Fuel Terminal teams and other business stakeholders. The role works closely with colleagues across direct and indirect procurement, Category Management and other Supply Chain teams.
The role combines operational contracting and procurement delivery with strategic category management, requiring the successful candidate to independently manage complex commercial activities, influence stakeholders across the organization and informally lead cross-functional project teams to deliver business outcomes.
The main work location is at at the Fuel Terminal in Flörsheim near Frankfurt.
