Your Work Shapes the World at Caterpillar Inc.
When you join Caterpillar, you're joining a global team who cares not just about the work we do – but also about each other. We are the makers, problem solvers, and future world builders who are creating stronger, more sustainable communities. We don't just talk about progress and innovation here – we make it happen, with our customers, where we work and live. Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.
The Large Power Systems Division currently has an opening for an Engineering Team Lead within our Aftertreatment & Exhaust Systems (AT&ES) performance engineering team. The Engineering Team Lead acts as a lead and an individual contributor, bringing technical expertise to the project as well as leading/coordinating the efforts of others. This role will give you the opportunity to help customers with clean power solutions by creating new and innovative aftertreatment design solutions. With your help, our products will continue to significantly reduce harmful diesel and gas engine exhaust emissions.
Job summary:

The role will lead projects from initial opportunity identification through technical evaluation, validation, and successful factory implementation. This includes understanding system interactions, evaluating technical tradeoffs, developing validation plans, and working through issues that arise as solutions are developed and implemented. The position will work closely with engineering experts, purchasing, suppliers, quality, manufacturing, and product groups to ensure solutions meet Caterpillar requirements for performance, quality, reliability, cost, and manufacturability.
