ABOUT POESIS

ABOUT THE ROLE

At Poesis, we're building an AI-native investment firm where intelligent systems drive investment research, portfolio construction and trading decisions. As a Member of Technical Staff, you'll build the systems that connect our investment strategies to the markets, from financial data and signal generation to order execution, trade reconciliation and monitoring. You'll help lay the foundation for a new kind of investment firm, where AI-driven decisions translate seamlessly into reliable production systems and live trading.

CHALLENGES YOU'LL WORK ON

•Build the production infrastructure that connects AI-driven investment decisions to live financial markets, from data and signals through trading.

•Solve complex engineering challenges around reliability, scalability and precision in systems where performance directly impacts investment outcomes.

•Build AI agents to automate workflows, validate pipeline operations and outputs and reduce the complexity and manual processes of traditional investment firms.

•Own the trading day end-to-end, including alerting, incident response, and runbooks, while providing trading coverage alongside our trader.

ABOUT YOU

•You have deep, hands-on experience building production trading and order pipeline systems in a quantitative investment firm, hedge fund, asset manager or similar environment.

•You've worked extensively with financial data pipelines, signal generation, portfolio construction, order management or trade lifecycle infrastructure, including institutional trading platforms or broker connectivity.

•You have experience designing and operating reliable, scalable production systems and automated workflows.

NICE TO HAVE

•You have built production software from the ground up at an early-stage investment firm.

•You have built, evaluated, and refined LLM agents that do real work in production

LOCATION

Hybrid, 3 days per week on-site at our office in Menlo Park, CA. Relocation allowance available.
