Los Angeles, CA (onsite, including weekends) · $200,000–$275,000 + equity

A very well-funded energy company is moving from R&D into construction and manufacturing at scale. It needs a recruiting leader to build the team that hires for every phase. The bar is high and so are the resources: leaders and investors who will join sell calls, and a team of experienced builders who have done hard things before.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thinks like a talent scout, not a figurehead VP.

What you'll do

•Lead a team of recruiters, a recruiting lead and a coordinator

•Set the bar for who the company hires, and coach recruiters to find and win exceptional people

•Run or close the most critical searches yourself, especially senior engineering hires

•Bring leadership and investors into the close at the right moments

•Plan hiring across R&D, construction and manufacturing as the company scales

•Keep recruiting operations healthy, with support from a people systems partner

What you bring

•Recruiting leadership at a high-growth, venture-backed company

•Real technical recruiting depth: you can talk through engineering problems and get great engineers excited

•Sharp, emotionally intelligent judgment about people

•Working knowledge of recruiting operations

•Wants to be in the office with the team, weekends included

Nice to have: hiring across R&D, manufacturing or construction workforces; hard-tech, energy or aerospace background
