ABOUT THE ROLE

Hi, we're Assemble. We're a 15-person team building the AI Front Door for frontline hospital leaders, so that nurse managers and executives can run their units well and nurses can thrive.

We're looking for our founding marketer to build Assemble's marketing function from the ground up and put our platform in front of health system executives nationwide. You'll work directly with our CEO, our President, our Chief Nursing Officer, and our sales team, and you'll own our marketing strategy, our go-to-market positioning, and the qualified leads marketing brings in.

This role matters right now because our platform has proven outcomes, but not enough people know about it, and our go-to-market team doesn't yet tell one consistent story about it. Until now, our founders have covered marketing between everything else. You'll be the first person whose whole job is to change that, with a meaningful budget and the founders' full support. You'll be a team of one for at least the next 6–9 months, so you'll do the work yourself, and move fast.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

In your first 30 days, you will:

•Write the definitive account of what Assemble does, the outcomes it delivers, and how it's different from anything else on the market

•Set up our account-based marketing structure with sales, including the target accounts we'll go after first

In your first 3 months, you will:

•Give our go-to-market team clear positioning and the materials to use it: decks, case studies, scorecards, and positioning docs

•Launch a well-defined marketing strategy that brings in qualified leads

•Regularly reach health system decision-makers and influencers through channels we own

In your first 6 months, you will:

•Generate $20M in qualified leads from health systems

•Build a simple system for keeping our marketing and sales materials current and easy for the whole team to find

Day to day, you'll also:

•Plan and run our presence at industry conferences and events, our biggest marketing channel

•Shape our marketing strategy and budget in partnership with the founders

•Find ways to use AI and automation to do more as a team of one

WHO YOU ARE

•Commercially minded: You tie marketing to revenue, take calculated bets, and know which programs are actually producing pipeline.

•A sharp storyteller: You can turn clinical and operational outcomes into a clear, differentiated story that health system executives remember, and that the whole team can tell the same way.

•A partner to sales: You build programs alongside sales, and you create the materials they actually use in deals.

•Resourceful and AI-forward: Without a team behind you, you get leverage from tools, freelancers, and automation, and you have ideas for how AI can take on more of the work.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

•Experience leading B2B marketing at an early-stage startup with an enterprise focus, with results you can point to

•Experience running account-based marketing and sales-led pipeline programs for enterprise buyers

•Experience creating the materials sales teams use, like decks, case studies, and positioning docs

•Based in New York City or willing to relocate (relocation support available), and able to travel 10–15% of the time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•You've built a B2B or enterprise marketing function from the ground up, or were one of its first two marketers

•Experience marketing to health systems or other healthcare buyers

•Experience running conference and event programs

•A background in marketing or business

ABOUT ASSEMBLE

Assemble is the operational system of record for frontline hospital leaders. We digitize the daily work of running a hospital unit, like rounding, shift handoffs, huddles, and escalations, and add AI-driven insights drawn from EHR, staffing, and real-time floor data. Our mission is to help nurses thrive in their professional and personal lives.

Some of the largest health systems in the country use Assemble as core infrastructure. We have millions in contracted revenue, 98%+ daily use at our anchor partner for more than a year, and measurable clinical outcomes, including a 26% reduction in patient falls. No one owns this category yet, so the work we do now will help set the standard.

We're a team of 15 based in New York City. You'll work closely with our founders, with real autonomy and trust, and your work will reach nurses and patients across the country. We move fast, decisions happen in hours rather than quarters, and the bar is high. Early teammates also share in what we're building through meaningful equity.
