Where you fit in
The Shell UK Mobility & Convenience business encompasses a network of over 1100 service stations, including 560 company-owned service stations, and serves half a million customers every day. UK Mobility & Convenience is a significant cash engine and fundamental to the success of Shell in the UK. We have an ambitious growth agenda. Successful delivery of this aspiration will require us to grow and transition our network, implement future fuels and maximize value from our existing service stations. Our mission is ‘Making Life’s Journeys Better’. To be the most preferred destination for customers to fuel, charge up and replenish. We win or lose by how well we serve and deliver each customer visit and transaction. As Shell power progresses through the energy transition, Mobility is critical to helping the company deliver more value with less emissions, continuing our ambition to be no. 1 in offering integrated Mobility solutions in mobility fuels, NFR, and e-mobility. Achieving our ambitions will require us to be Focused, Faster, Future Ready when it comes to placing customers at the heart of our business, treating every interaction as a chance to bring our purpose to life to make people’s journeys better, innovating to meet our customers’ changing expectations around convenience, product quality, digitalization and service.
The network team in the UK has a key role to play in finding ways to accelerate this growth trajectory through acquiring and delivering new sites faster, defending core sites, and delivery of convenience stores as well as Low Emissions Fuels (EV) and finding new sources of value. This role is principally designed to support the network growth ambitions and cover all Engineering activities required to successfully defend and enhance the value of our company-owned (CO) network across the UK. A significant feature of the role will be extensive engagement with internal and external partners to maximize value and identify opportunities to accelerate delivery.

Shell in The United Kingdom
Shell UK remains one of the North Sea’s biggest producers, supplying around 10% of the UK’s total oil and gas needs. But perhaps the most recognisable face of Shell in the UK is our network of over 1,000 Shell-branded service stations.
In the years ahead, as the UK looks to strengthen energy security and deliver its 2050 net-zero goal, Shell UK aims to play a crucial role. We aim to be a major investor in the UK energy system by helping our customers decarbonise with a focus on transport and industry.
