Nuts.com is a self-funded, profitable, rapidly growing multi-channel DTC specialty food and wellness company with over 550 people on our team. We're changing the landscape of snacking on nuts, dried fruit, chocolate and more! We planted our roots in Newark, New Jersey during the Great Depression, selling premium nuts on Mulberry Street's open-air market. We've come quite a long way since then, taking our multi-generational family business online in 1999. Even after 97 years, we continue to pride ourselves in expertly sourcing the highest quality foods and treating our customers like family.

The role

We're looking for a freelance content creator who can do it all: come up with the idea, get in front of the camera, shoot it, and cut it into short-form video that performs. You'll make content for Meta, TikTok, and Instagram — paid ads, organic social, and (ideally in the future) TikTok Shop and LIVE.

This is a ~20-hour/week contract role working directly with our creative and growth teams. You'll take detailed briefs and turn them around fast, but we also want your ideas: what's trending, what's working, and how people actually snack. Mostly remote, with occasional days at our HQ in Cranford, NJ for shoots.

How you'll make an impact

•Create on camera. Demo, taste-test, and react in UGC-style and creator-led content. You're the face of a lot of what we post on paid and organic

•Shoot high-quality content. Capture product close-ups, lifestyle scenes, and b-roll — on your phone for quick-turn work, and with more polish when the concept calls for it

•Edit at volume. Turn briefs and existing footage into multiple short-form assets (Reels, Stories, TikToks, performance ads) across 9x16 and 4x5, with hook, headline, and copy variations for testing

•Support TikTok Shop & LIVE. Help build shoppable content and, where it fits, plan or host LIVE sessions

•Bring ideas. Pitch concepts and trends (cultural moments, seasonal snacking) that fit our brand and our performance goals

•Stay organized. Keep clean file naming, version control, and a tidy asset library so the team can find and reuse your work

What you’ll bring

•2+ years creating and editing short-form video for social (Reels, TikTok, Stories, performance ads)

•Strong editing skills in CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar

•Comfortable and natural on camera

•Solid phone filming skills: steady shots, framing, lighting, and clean audio

•Performance creative experience: you know what makes an ad work and how to build variations for testing

•Fluent in social trends, sounds, and formats on TikTok and Instagram

•Fast, organized, and a strong collaborator: you'll work alongside our existing editor and the creative team, hit quick-turn deadlines, and take feedback well

•Able to come into Cranford, NJ for shoots as needed (no more than twice a month)

•Portfolio required, with on-camera and edited work

•Experience with AI or agentic editing tools and workflows

•Higher-end shooting experience (camera, lighting, audio kit)

•Knowledge of the food, snack, or CPG industry

Major Bonus

•Experience with TikTok Shop and/or TikTok LIVE (content, hosting, or both)

Logistics & Compensation

•Schedule: ~20 hours/week, flexible

•Location: Hybrid. Mostly remote, with in-person shoots at Nuts.com HQ in Cranford, NJ as needed (no more than twice a month)

•Reports to: Sr Mgr., Creative Performance & Strategy

•Rate: $45–$65/hour, based on experience and portfolio

•Type: Freelance contract, ongoing, with room to grow based on performance
