ABOUT RUNBOOK

Runbook is the fastest way to deploy AI agents in the physical economy: logistics companies, manufacturers, construction firms, and field-service operators that keep the world running. These industries largely run on manual, repetitive, labor-heavy, error-prone operational processes. Runbook combines best-of-breed agent capabilities and a deployment platform designed for non-technical business process owners that enables hundreds of agents to be built with enterprise-grade reliability and control.

Our first customers include Fortune 200 enterprises that had been unable to solve the target workflows for years, despite working with the best names in AI and hyperscaler platforms. No other solution came close to Runbook's, which went live in production in 2 weeks at 95%+ success rates.

We've raised $15M in seed funding, and our founding team includes Obaid Khan (co-founder of Motive, scaled sales from $0 to $300M ARR) and Chris Ramesh (former AI Product Lead at Discord).

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting role that sits at the intersection of two important pillars: how to deploy AI agents to take on end-to-end work that can decrease costs or drive revenue for a customer, and how to build a platform that makes it easy for non-technical operators to own these deployments.

Your first responsibility will be driving outcomes for a customer using the Runbook platform. You'll work with Agent Operations and engineering to deliver agents that work, but this goes beyond shipping the first agent. You'll partner with customers as they transform their operations with AI and expand to additional workflows over time. Success is measured by real business impact. This is a forward-deployed role.

Your second responsibility will be driving the success of the Runbook platform in the market. You'll leverage your front-row seat to our customers and work directly with the founders and engineering team to shape the vision and roadmap of the platform, ensuring the next n customers and deployments are successful. This tight feedback loop between customer deployments and platform is the secret behind our blazing-fast development speed.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

•Discovery: Partner directly with customers to understand their operational workflows, systems, and constraints, often embedding with their teams during deployment

•Agent Design: Translate messy, real-world operations into scalable agent design: scope, success criteria, requirements, and an elegant agent configuration that gets the job done

•Deployment ownership: Own deployments end-to-end, from initial discovery through go-live, production iteration, and results readouts

•Customer Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them identify high-impact opportunities for expansion

•Platform Innovation: Drive roadmap decisions and feature development that expand the capabilities of our platform and its usability for our non-technical deployment team

REQUIREMENTS

•You bring the experience: 5+ years of experience in product development for highly technical products

•You can scope and ship: You've worked in product management or a similar role that required both scoping and execution

•You are a structured problem solver: You can lead strategy and translate business needs or challenges into a clear plan. You're comfortable identifying risks and navigating tradeoffs in live customer environments

•You communicate clearly at multiple altitudes. You can juggle multiple deployments, drive execution, and lead workstreams through delivery and iteration with minimal oversight

•You are technically fluent: You have a strong grounding in software, product, and engineering concepts, so you can partner effectively with customers and internal teams to turn ideas into production agents
